Food is superb. The atmosphere is a great with an authentic Tex-mex feel but relaxed enough that I am comfortable bringing my three young children even on a Friday evening. The wait staff helps one another quite a lot to ensure you get adequate attention and good service.
We are new to the area and this was our first time trying a restaurant in the area. We all enjoyed the food and the staff was great. Our waitress (I think her name was Emily) was fantastic. I have celiac disease and can't eat gluten, Emily was knowledgeable about what food was safe for me to eat and made some great recommendations. We will definitely be back!
We just moved to the are, 1st time here. got a table for 6 ptetty quick but they shouldn't take you to the table unless it's already cleaned. It wasn't very busy for a Friday and yet we still had trouble tracking down our waitress. got a skillet plate, you would think food would be sizzling hot. cold food, cold service. will check this off the list and look for another mexican restaurant.
Our service was outstanding. The food was extremely amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and very prompt at fulfilling our needs! Rio Grande is a great place to eat!!
4 stars for outdoor area. Nice open patio. 4 stars for the service and waitress. 2 stars for the food and everything else. The skirt steak is about as cheap of a cut as you can get - very little texture started to wonder what the hell I was eating. Kids food was something similar to Tyson chicken tenders and fish sticks you buy at the store. The dishes have seen better days; wear and tear. Overall mediocre Tex Mex experience. A notch below Chuys.
Try their shrimp tacos and Chimichanga.
